I attempted suicide while in the service and some would say I was on a continuous suicide attempt during my deployments. I existed with mental health issues for many years and 5 years ago I decided to do something about it.
Losing a lot of weight, getting fit again (ended up finally finishing a 30 year goal of running the Marine Corps Marathon), working with a phenomenal therapist I came up with my 4 M's methodology - Movement, Mind, Meditation, and Meaning to help keep me focused on mental fitness vice illness.
